Longstone was built in 1633 by Walter and Barbara Efford. It became a ruin as a consequence of the building of the Burrator Reservoir. Many artifacts can be seen close to the ruin, including a granite cider mill. This ruin has a beautiful setting being on the
peninsular of Burrator Reservoir.
