[FR] Au départ des Allemands, les Américains de la US Air Force et du 8e corps prirent possession des lieux jusqu'en 1945. Ceci permit aux Cantiliens de vivre durant une année à la mode américaine, avec parades, matches de baseball et de football américain, sans oublier les bals et concerts de jazz. Cet hôtel de prestige cessa définitivement son activité après la seconde guerre mondiale et fut ensuite vendu par appartements, devenant une résidence privée.
[EN] When the Germans left, the Americans of the U.S. Air Force and the 8th corps took possession of it until 1945. This allowed the townspeople of Chantilly to experience the americain style of living for a year, with parades, baseball and football games, not to mention the balls and jazz concerts. This prestigious hotel ceased its activity after World War II and was subsequently divided into apartments which were sold to individuals, thus becoming a private residence.
