A scale replica of the famous New York statue in the middle of Shap Moors.

The replica can be seen from the road to the Shap Wells Hotel, coming from the east and the Orton-Shap road. It is located in Chris Trippear's compound, on the top of a conservatory extension to his house.
Mr. Trippear is a builder who works in various materials and appears to be able to turn his hand to many things. Various projects can be seen in his 'garden'. The gate posts have self-portrait busts of himself and a lady.
I don't know if he made the replica of the Statue of Liberty of not. It certainly is an incongruous sight as you drive down the single track road across the moor.
