This milestone is sited at a fork in the road where the Launceston to Tavistock turnpike leaves the turnpike road to Callington. This milestone dates from the late 18th century when most of the Turnpike Trusts in the area commenced work. The milestone has some damage possibly caused by hedge trimming over the years.
