The company said in its first year of production, the brewery had 400 employees and produced 3.4 million barrels of beer. Today,(2003) it has 600 employees and produces more than 8 million barrels a year.
The Cartersville brewery started by brewing Budweiser and Busch. Today, it produces those brands in addition to Michelob Ultra, Bud Light, Bud Ice, Bud Ice Light, Bud Dry, Busch Light, Busch Ice, Hurricane Malt Liquor, King Cobra Malt Liquor, Michelob, Michelob Light, Michelob AmberBock, Natural Light, Natural Ice and Tequiza.
The building of this brewery in Cartersville caused an economic boom that raised property values over night and brought many other businesses to the area. Anheuser-Busch is a great corporate citizen which not only contributes money but also manpower to all types of civic projects.
This plant ships about 120 truckloads of beer per day.
