From Friday night destination to dilapidated screen and weed choked field, the remains of the 87 Drive-in will soon fall prey to development.

The old theater probably does not have a lot of time, especially since they are improving both Hwy 87 and Friendship, making it prime development land. The 87 on the back of the screen can be seen from Hwy 87, while the projection booth/refreshment stand is more easily seen from Friendship.

Can you see the speakers hanging from these back in the 50's and 60's? Now they're just a pile of junk.

Current condition: Very little remains (signs, speaker posts, car ramps, screen structure, etc.)
