The original Bend Fire Station was built in 1920. In the 1970s additional engine bays were added on the west side. The station served the community as the main fire station and administrative office for 80 years. In 2000, the station closed as the fire department moved into a new station and new administrative offices. The building was redeveloped into a mixed-use facility with dining, retail, office and residential spaces. Additional floors were added above the newer engine bays for residential apartments. The original brick station is now Staccato at the Firehall, an Italian restaurant which opened in 2005.
Current Use: Restaurant plus retail, office and residential space.
