The BookMark, located in the center of Neptune Beach, opened for business in 1990 as an independent community bookstore. This little family-owned bookstore is now recognized as the best independent bookstore in all of Jacksonville and is known for its diverse title/specialty offerings, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and as the host of some of the country’s most famous authors. The Biologist has attended two or three Carl Hiaasen book signings at this bookstore. Always fun!
