The União dos Escoteiros do Brasil was started over 75 years ago (it'll be 84 in 2008) The Sao Paulo region covers the whole state of Sao Paulo. It's membership was 17,014 in 2006 and 16,990 in 2007. In 2007 (until March) there's been 4,960 new members. The scouts are divided between cub scouts, regular scouts, senior scouts and pioneer scouts.
