A small metal marker sits on the east side of this lovely arched bridge. It has WR on. It is showing signs of age with a lot of lichen spots and some rust.
The new county of Cumbria was formed from Cumberland, Westmorland, parts of Lancashire and Yorkshire. The West Riding parish of Sedbergh was included in the new county.
