Trowlesworthy Warren is an area of 3,333 acres(1.349 hectares) on the south western corner of Dartmoor not far from Shaugh Prior. The area was once one of several warrens on Dartmoor where rabbits were bred commercially as their meat was very popular many years ago.
Within the National Trust area are quite a few ancient settlements, a stone row and stone circles.
Unfortunately to the south of this historic piece of moorland is the industrial blight of the Lee Moor china clay workings.
