The Trolley Stop is located in an older renovated building in the old downtown part of Boone. They've done a nice job: the nice chairs and tables have wrought iron accents, there is 80's light rock playing in the background, and there are nice nature-theme pictures and art on the walls. It's a good, quiet place for a quick meal.

Trolley Stop Hot Dog Shop serves a dog for all palates. Yet its most popular remains the North Carolina Dog (slaw, mustard, chili). “The key is that everything is still homemade: the slaw and the chili,” says Coombs. “And we chop everything fresh daily, like the onions and tomatoes.”
