Natural Bridge is located in Natural Bridge State Resort Park. This is one of Kentucky's most beautiful parks and consists of 2200 acres adjacent to the Daniel Boone National Forest. It is located in Powell Co.KY.
Natural Bridge is a 900 ton natural sandstone arch 65 ft. high and 78 ft. long. The arch can be accessed either by a skylift that is a 1/2 mile long lift that has an elevation rise of 600 ft. or by hiking trail. Once you reach the top you can walk across the arch and down through "Fat Man's Misery" to area under the arch.
For the "ultramarathoner" there is an annual "arches run" that began in 2003 and is a 34 mi. long run that starts in Natural Bridge State Park and goes through the Red River Gorge area. The "run" takes place in Nov.
The "Hemlock Lodge" is located in the park and information/reservations are available by calling 1-800-325-1710
