Zonhoven is een gemeente in de provincie Limburg (België). De gemeente is gelegen ten noorden van Hasselt waaraan ze grenst. Verder grenst Zonhoven aan Houthalen-Helchteren, Genk en Heusden-Zolder. Zonhoven is een verstedelijkte woon- en werkgemeente en is een stedelijke randgemeente van Hasselt. De gemeente telt 20.060 inwoners (31 december 2006).
De plaats waar dit bord staat is op de grens met Zolder (zie WM38K0). Ik koos deze plaats omdat je er mooi kan wandelen in de bossen. Vlakbij vertrekt ook de cache 'Geelberg' (GC13NN5)
Zonhoven is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Limburg near Hasselt. On January 1, 2007 Zonhoven had a total population of 20,060. The total area is 39.34 km² which gives a population density of 506 inhabitants per km².
The place where this sign stands is on the border with Zolder (see WM38K0). I picked this place cause you can make nice walks here in the woods. Also the cache 'Geelberg' (GC13NN5) is nearby.
