This is another example of the work of the Italian turned Thai sculptor Silpa Bhirasri. The statue is in the center of a park set on a large traffic circle at Wongwian Yai and Prajadhipok Street in Bangkok (actually Thorn Buri) Taksin the Great as he is known in Thailand has his sword drawn to remind all of his role in fighting off the Burmese army and setting a unified Siam (now Thailand)on a path of freedom.
The statue is mounted on a pedestal and the total height of the statue from base to the top of his hat is roughly 16 meters.
