It starts off looking like an ordinary 'flat-iron' type building with a three-section end instead of a point. As you move around to the left you realise it has another side that goes away from the road edge to the wall of the building behind. This gives seven sides instead of the likely six if it was just the rounded off end of the row.
Another peculiarity is where the front door is. The triangular space between this and next-door has a single floor extension. Again, rather than wall straight across, the front wall has its ends cut back in so it has three front sides. This creates two very small 'garden' spaces.
Rather than simply put the front door on the front line of the extension, opening in because of passing cars, the doorway is actually inset, forming another triangle and a porch. The door still opens inward. The corner extension must provide very little extra space.
A final oddity is the old front door. The bottom 2ft is walled in and a window is above this. However, rather than a standard window a large, square bay-window has been created. Glass on three sides and sticking out 20". Two red posts protect the window from errant drivers turning too sharply.
