This sundial has been erected on the south wall of the church. It has the following inscription-
TOP
WM. HONY LLB Vicar
NEHh.WILLIAMS AND FRANs CROKER. CHURCH WARDENS dated 1779
BOTTOM
SO SOON PASSETH IT AWAY

After over two centuries the sundial is about 5 minutes slow by my watch.This may be because my watch is set to GMT and the sundial would have been set to local time in those days. Liskeard is about 4 degrees west of GMT.
