The Clubhouse, has a large patio and barbeque. A fully licensed bar offers a range of beers, wines, spirits, and soft drinks at phenomenally low prices, food is available from the new kitchen.
We offer a programme of sailing activities aimed at families and children. Junior race series’ fishing competitions and cruiser racing.
RIBC is Family orientated club, with first class social activities."
The Club has approximately 250 members with 100 cruiser berths and a dinghy park. Club racing Saturday, Sunday & Weekday evenings.
Roa Island (linked to the mainland by road causeway) is down channel from Barrow, it's sheltered behind Walney Island, and gives access out into Morecambe Bay and the Irish Sea. The channel up to Piel and Roa Islands is well lit enabling night time arrivals. The main hazard is the tide which can rush through the channel between Piel and Roa at 6+ knots.
It's useful to know that if it all goes to pot, on the end of Roa Island, just along from the club, is the slip-launched, all-weather RNLI lifeboat!
