Scout Scar is a high limestone ridge to the west of Kendal. It provides an excellent view of the Lake District hills, Morecambe Bay, and east over to the Yorkshire Dales. Parking can be found on the Underbarrow road at N54° 19.473 W002° 47.267.

A great walk can be had all the way along this escarpment. The top undulates a little and has a trig point and a viewing shelter on two different tops.
