A fellow student at the school in Phuket recommended I stay at this guest house. Since I had never stayed at one before I was a little apprehensive, but I do hate paying for all the extras of a big hotel that I never use. Since the price was so much better I thought I'd give it a try. Originally booked for one night but stayed the whole week. Owners Pin and Thomas were like family by the end of the week and I hated to leave. Thomas is a big Scandavian fellow and his wife Pen is a bright, little Thai lady. Together they run a clean, safe, and inviting place. Be aware that floors are tile and can be slippery with wet feet. Also, in true Thai style, there is no elevator.

More people need to try the guesthouse route. Why pay for a pool when you're going to the beach everyday?
