[FR] Les Bellovaques sont un des peuples gaulois de la Gaule belgique. Ils demeuraient dans l'actuel département de l'Oise à l'ouest de la rivière Oise. En 57 av JC, ils sont les instigateurs du soulèvement du peuple contre les romains en fournissant 6 000 guerriers qui furent battu. Afin de rendre sa victoire plus éclatante Jules César dit d'eux qu'il étaient "les plus courageux des Belges".

[EN] The Bellovaci were among the most powerful and numerous of the Belgic tribes of north-eastern Gaul conquered by Julius Caesar in 57 BC. The territory of the Bellovaci extended from modern Beauvais to the Oise River, along the coast.
