This old truss bridge used to take the regular traffic along Honingham Hill Road but is now a farm track and pedestrian footpath across the old railway line at Marton Junction.
Waymark Code: WM34KJ
Location: West Midlands, United Kingdom

There are footpaths above and on the old railway line but getting down from this bridge can be rather slippery as it is a steep slope to the bottom. There are fantastic views from the bridge of the surrounding landscape with the clear layout of the trails below showing the routes of the original railway.

The bridge is a Victorian design and steel structure. Marton Junction's only function was to provide access from the Rugby to Leamington line for the branch line to Weedon as stated on the website link below. It is a rather ornate bridge to encounter along this popular walking route and is a welcome remnant of the old railways that used to be here.

It is only accessible on foot unless you are the local farmer so please park respectfully at the end of the tarmac surface along Ridgeway Lane.
Date Built: 08/01/1895

Length of Span:
Approximately 30m
