Milestone L10 is on the turnpike road from Launceston to Camelford. The milestone tells travellers that they are 10 miles from Launceston

This milestone is situated alongside the route of the Launceston to Camelford turnpike road. The turnpike trust was established in 1759. The road was the main road into Cornwall before the much shorter route via Temple to Bodmin was built.
It is reputed that Rev William Phillippa, Rector of Lanteglos cut the figures on the granite milestones by his own hand to assist the project. Many of the milestones he engraved are still in existance tody.
