A small take-away shop in the centre of town - sandwiches, soup, bagels, baguettes, and doughnuts! The solid, filled style with a good variety of flavours/fillings: cappuccino, caramel fudge, orange chocolate, chocolate, apple, vanilla custard, etc.

'Food' is a small independent group of just six stores around Cumbria and Lancashire. The Kendal store is where a previous doughnut shop used to be. It sits in the market place where it catches a lot of workers nipping out for lunch supplies. It also does well from the general shoppers, especially on market days.
As part of the quality control for this waymark, we have sampled the goods and enjoyed them very much! A great place to find freshly made food and doughnuts of distinction. You can even beat the queues and order online or by fax. A good range of baguettes, including a dozen vegetarian varieties.
The doughnuts line the shelves in the windows, in all their varieties, tempting the passersby to walk in and purchase one of the delightful looking treats.
