A time capsule was prepared and placed under a paving slab by the market cross. This is in the square at the centre of the village.

The capsule was placed by Milnthorpe Parish Council to commemorate the Millennium. It can be found at the base of the market cross on the west side.
(Some of my least visited caches are a bit like time capsules!)

A Millennium monument that's walked over every day by dozens of people, complete with chewing gum!
