About the namee: Francisco Antonio de Almeida Morato was born on October,868, in Piracicaba and
died 21 of May , 1948, 17 years before the city became a city. Morato was a politician, lawyer and professor, Francisco Morato also had an extensive resume. He graduated with a degree in humanities from Moretzon college and got a bachelor of law from the College of São Paulo. As lawyer, he established the Institute of the Bar Association of the State established in 1916. He was also its being its first president. He was also emérito professor of the Law school of São Paulo. Between its diverse activities, Francisco Morato reached prominence as politician, when he organized and he presided over the Democratic Party, during the Revolution of 32. However, with the defeat of São Paulo to the governmental forces, Francisco Morato exiled itself in the Europe, where he lived for two years. Between 1945 and 1947, he occupied the position of secretary of the Interior and Justice for the State of São Paulo. Soon after its death, the neighborhood of Belém, in the city of Franco da Rocha, became Francisco Morato. In 1965 the neighborhood became its own city and separated from Franco da Rocha.
