This quiet memorial to Denver's Fallen Officers is in front of the current Denver Police Department's Administration and Detention Buildings in central Denver. The names of the fallen officers are engraved on the right stone block, the center has the Denver Police Department Shield and text reads, "By The Denver Police Protective Association 1991." The verse on the left stone reads:
When Duty Called, There Was No Thought But Answer.
No Question, But The Task That Must Be Done.
Though Death Their Final Payment For Victory
For Honor Was The Battle Fought. And Won.
No Monument Stands Higher Than Their Valor.
No Words Replace The Loss of Heroes, Slain.
But If Their Names, Remembered, Give us Courage,
Their Sacrifice Shall Not Have Been In Vain.
