The Society of Friends burial ground at Colthouse is typical of it's kind,being simple and nicely maintained.
Much of the property in Colthouse originally belonged to Quaker families,the burial ground is at the corner where the Colthouse road joins the road to Sawrey and the ferry and is known as Sepulcher Corner.
