The green-domed building away to the east is Tyringham Hall, built by Sir John Soane in 1793-7, but much altered since. It is now a naturopathic clinic. The arched gatehouse, also visible, was praised by Sir Nikolaus Pevsner as "a monument of European importance". The bridge was also built in this era and is a humpback design.
There have been several incidents at Tyringham bridge resulting in a ban of swimming in the river and jumping from the bridge. It is dangerous to do so here.
Just along the road is the church of St Peter to both the village of Tyringham and Filgrave, an equally small, rural location along the narrow country lane.
