There is a small plaque remembering one local individual who served in the Korean war, on the most celebrated war memorial in Kendal.

Just off the main high street is Market Place, with this statue in the middle of the entrance. The memorial was unveiled on 1st July 1921.
Where this war memorial now stands was where the library building stood until knocked down to open up access. At one time there were two libraries operating. As coincident waymark says there is a small plaque to Korean veteran on this war memorial.
