The Holy Well of St. Neot is an ancient site of historical interest.
Originally the well was an open spring surrounded by boulders.
A well-house with a stone cross above was rebuilt over St. Neot's well in 1852.
The well house is around 100 yards from the parish church and sits in a grassy meadow not far from the St Neot River. This is said to be the place where St. Neot stood deep in meditation immersed to the head in its holy waters.
The meadow was very wet and boggy on the day we visited.
A convenient place to stop is at the church with a footpath alongside the river.
