Since 1988, the Bradley Center has been the home of the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association as well as professional minor league hockey and an indoor soccer team.

As an incentive to keep the Milwaukee Bucks from moving to a different city, the Bradley Center was a $100 million gift to the State of Wisconsin by Jane and Lloyd Pettit in memory of Jane's late father, Harry Lynde Bradley of the Allen-Bradley company. If viewed from above, the arena is shaped in the trademarked Allen-Bradley octagon.
The Bradley Center is the home for the Milwaukee Bucks, a National Basketball Association team; the Milwaukee Admirals, an International Hockey League (minor league) team currently associated with the Nashville Predators; and the Milwaukee Wave, a Major Indoor Soccer League team.
The Bradley Center also hosts nearby Marquette University's basketball team and other collegiate sports. It is also used as a venue for various collegiate playoffs and championships.
Concerts and other performances are also scheduled in the Bradley Center.
