Beckside Limekiln can be viewed from the roadside, though there is nowhere close to park,we walked from Cartmel Village.
The Limekiln is nearby to the hamlet farm and seems likely that the kiln was used for farming use,i.e. the making of lime for the land.
The kiln is listed on various websites but it seems little is known about it and few details are given, nevertheless it is easy to view from it's very quiet roadside location.
