Welcome to Withrow Springs State Park. Withrow Springs was named for Richard Withrow, an early settler who came west in 1832 from Tennessee and established the first grist mill in the area. The clear cold water that gushes from the cave is awesome, and the perfect place to set a grist mill.

I am going to have to start rating the springs on a 1, 2 or 3. This is a 2. It is not as big as Roaring River but it is no small spring either; it ran a grist mill much like Roaring River. There is no visible gauge here to go by and I did not find anything on the internet about it.

I have been here several times to CITO's for my friend who was the Park Ranger but has moved to Texas as a Ranger there.

This one is for all you outdoor lovers. Any time of year is great.

As always, have fun, be safe and HAPPY..........................................WAYMARKING
