This fire station was built in 1907 and operated as an engine house until 1965. In 1973 it was converted into Tacoma's first brew pub.

Engine House No. 9 was built in 1907 and provided fire protection until 1965. Converted to a restaurant in 1973, the building was placed on the National Historic Register in 1975. Numerous fire fighting elements in the decor capture the essence of what once was.
This building has been operated as a brewpub and restaurant for 35 years and is a much loved Tacoma establishment. Open Sunday to Tuesday, 11:30am - 12am; Wednesday and Thursday, 11:30am to 1am; Friday and Saturday 11:30am to 2am.
