There is a large natural spring nearby, which attracted early settlement here. See nearby waymarks for Royal Spring. It was also where bourbon was first distilled. Home of Georgetown College, where the Cincinnati Bengals hold their practice camp. The downtown business district has many 1800's vintage buildings, which are in very good condition. Toyota has a large auto assembly plant nearby. Nice place to visit while in the central Kentucy region.
