Probably of little interest to anyone not in the field of teaching and maybe not too many in the field. ESL/EFL is a booming area of education in the US. I've been in it since 1989. Last year I decided to come to Thailand and take a look at the field from the other side, to sort of put myself in my students' shoes. The language, food, culture were all new to me upon arrival. The frustrations that my students have tried to communicate to me over the years are very real to me now.
