This working water wheel is located at the Mill Top Tavern. The tavern is a renovated 19th century grist mill. The water wheel is driven by an artesian well at the bottom of the wheel which is pumped up to the top to drive the wheel. The Mill Top Tavern is one of the best known local taverns in Florida. Many local as well as national recording artists stop by the Mill Top and play acoustic sets in this rustic setting.
