The church is set away from the main village as Haynes is split into 'Ends': Silver, Northwood, Church and West. Nearby is the mansion of Lord John Thyme which was converted into Clarendon School - a boarding school for girls - and now belongs to the Indian based mystic sect Radha Soami Satsang Beas. The church has parking which is tucked away of the country road, just turn down the short, dirt track near to the small triangular area of grass near the road.
The war memorial commemorates both those who fell in the First World and Second World wars. There are other graves to servicemen throughout the cemetery. The memorial is a standard cross raised on a plinth with the names of those who fell inscribed around it. The following wording is apparent: THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE
TO THE GLORIOUS MEMORY OF ALL THOSE CONNECTED WITH THIS PARISH WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR KING AND COUNTRY DURING THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1918.
