The new station Houten Castellum is part of the project edge city track. Station Houten Castellum ensure an improved accessibility of the Vinex location Huten south. Beside the construction of a new station in Huten Castellum and Houten centre also the track will be doubled as a component of the project. The track is broadened of two to four tracks concerning a length of 5.3 kilometre.
