Miguel Jerônimo Ferrante was born in 1920 in Rio Branco, Acre. He graduated with a law degree in 1945. Ferrante was a federal judge in Sao Paulo until 1979. In 1988 he became a justice on the Supreme Court. Ferrante was also an author, writing novels. He died in 2001 in Brasilia.
