Located just inside the parking lot over to the left hand side. It is very hard to miss. There is a sign that says do not drink the water, but I am still alive so maybe it will do in emergencies only.

The site's history dates to the early 19th century. It provided weapons iron for the War of 1812 and reached its peak in the 1850s, when the site contained a furnace, forge, gristmill, Methodist church, sawmill, large owner's mansion, store, 20 workers' houses, a blacksmith shop, and a wheelwright.

Fueled by charcoal, by the 1860s, the forge had become obsolete as iron production moved to areas where hard coal was abundant.
