The Sadieville Police Station serves 300 residents of the small Northern Scott County railroad town of Sadieville. The department employs two police officers. Their police station is located in the renovated Sadieville Jail.

Almost ten years ago I moved to Scott County and went to work as a reporter for the local newspaper. I remember having to go to Sadieville to meet with the city clerk. At that time she was located in the bottom part of the Sadieville Jail, along with the police station and two old jail cells from the jail's heyday. Prisoners are now brought to the Scott County Jail. When I saw the building I couldn't believe they all fit in there. It's truly a unique building. According to Sadieville's website the renovated jail dates back to 1905. The clerk is now located in city hall which is the renovated and moved train depot building.

I have had NO problems with taking photos of Police stations but please respect the fact that some services may be nervous about having their photo taken and inquire as to why... I have found that once things are explained they are more than happy to let me photograph the building, crest, chief... (they are people too!)
