This gate is located at the entrance to a garden on the property of the headquarters for the Kentucky Daughters of the American Revolution in Paris, Kentucky. The site, formerly Duncan Tavern, is on the National Register of Historic Places.

The giant eagle atop the gate got my attention and beckoned for me to take its picture. I believe the eagle is representative of the symbol of the DAR.
