The original Campuan wooden suspension bridge was replaced with something a little more sturdy in 1977.

The original suspension bridge is now used as a pedestrian crossing. It can no longer be used for vehicular traffic due to several steps down at either end of the bridge, plus there are now several planks missing along the way! It is getting increasingly scary to cross this bridge, particularly given the 25 metre drop to the river below, but it doesn't appear to deter the locals.
