This doorway is used as a backdrop to the evening performances inside the Puri (or palace) compound in Ubud, Bali. While the Puri is privately owned, the grounds are open to visitors, so you are welcome to come inside and have a look around. The doorway is not used by the general public - but it is used during performances - there are other doorways on either side of this door for general use. The doorway is intricately carved in wood and painted, using a lot of gold leaf.
