This pendulum weights 235 pounds and is suspended from a point about 35 feet above the floor. As the direction of the swing shifts, the pendulum encounters a golf ball about every 26 minutes. Each morning, all of the golf balls are placed on their tees. The more empty tees you see, the later the time of day. To our knowledge, this is the only foucault pendulum in the world that plays golf.
