Most of this trail is single track style riding in the once-used forest roads that reforested the mountain side on the way down. Most of the forest road has overgrown except for the wheel ruts that are now mostly single track.

A good portion of this ride is grown over with tall grass, but the ruts remain in tact. Some portions of the ride are on graded concrete that the trucks would need to make the climb. The rest is dirt.

Additionally, some of this trail is washed over with landslide debris. Once you know where it is, it's no issue to ride over it, but if it's your first time, please be careful. The poster here takes no responsibility for your health or welfare in travelling this course. Mountain biking is a naturally dangerous sport and remember to wear your helmet!

There are two places to start this ride:

Trailhead

You can drive to nearby the coordinates above and ride downhill until you reach pavement at the river, (intersection at N34 9.67 E132 0.701) then turn left and climb back to the start point.

Mikawu Agricultural Center

Or, drive to the start point nearby N34 11.351 E131 59.752. Drive around the back of the Mikawu Agricultural Center and park at the small campground- style parking lot. Start the climb to the top from here. Once you reach the posted coordinates, begin the fantastic ride back down hill.
