Highway 95 and Highway 8 meet here. When a new interchange was constructed this and a former Northern Pacific railway bridge (later Burlington Northern) were abandoned. The railway bridge may have been abandoned prior to the interchange work but I couldn't find documentation on the rail lines abandonment.
The railway bridge is gated and access is barred. A sign indicating that the roadway bridge is not a through pathway is in place to discourage people from crossing the bridge but the beaten down path indicates it is used heavily as an access point for downtown. The old railbed to the west appears to go off into private property but a developed trail follows the railways right of way to the east.
The railway bridge is a wooden trestle and the former Highway 95 bridge is a concrete deck that appears to be from the 1930's
The map link below shows how Highway 95 curves to the right and then turns back to the left. The two abandoned bridges form a triangle with the new Highway 95 on the southeast of the old road beds.
