St Peter's Church, Dalbeattie, Dumfries and Galloway - This Old Church on Waymarking.com

Successive domestic chaplains of the Maxwells of nearby Munches served the needs of local Catholics. When the last Catholic member died (Agnes in 1809), the incumbent, Father Andrew Carruthers, built this church, initially as just a hall, and a priest's house from some of his bequest. It seated 252 people. In 1935 and more recently, there have been extensive alterations and repairs.

St. Peter's Catholic Church had run its own school for some time, and the Catholic Primary School that succeeded it is still doing well.
